US Senator Dianne Feinstein has passed away aged 90

US Senator Dianne Feinstein has died aged 90. Her cause of death has yet to be revealed as the California Democrat announced in February she would not seek re-election due to various health issues. Widespread criticism had been directed at her and several other US Senators as calls are mounting for an age limit on politicians in America. Ms Feinstein is widely considered a trailblazer for women in US politics and was re-elected to the Senate five times after joining in 1992. Some of Ms Feinstein’s most significant legislative achievements include gun reform and helping expose torture within the CIA.
