Donovan - Over Grown Gardens of Dream

A few years back, Donovan found a stash of unreleased recordings he made going back to 1970. These are now being released as the Buried Treasures Series. Donovan- as a pop star- had peaked in 1967 and his commercial fortunes were on the decline in 1969. The advent of punk rock left Donovan as a “nice boy“ outdated relic of the psychedelic 60’s. The tracks from his 1970 sessions are unplugged demos, acoustic songs recorded at the peak of Donovan’s vocal abilities and out-of-time gems in their own right.
