Germany: Protesters boo Saxony Minister President upon his arrival at Leipzig CDU event

Dozens of protesters gathered outside a CDU citizens’ dialogue campaign event in Leipzig on Thursday, to protest against the party and in particular the policies put in place to fight the coronavirus pandemic. Protesters could be seen waving various placards and banners and chanting ’Traitors to the people’ at those attending the CDU event. Saxony Minister President Michael Kretschmer was booed by the protesters as his vehicle arrived at the event, and dozens of people were deployed to keep the protesters separate from the event.
