Korakuen - Japanese Garden, Okayama ● 後楽園 岡山

► Korakuen is a japanese “Kaiyu“-style garden, located in Okayama. (*between Kobe and Hiroshima) - It is one of “The three great gardens of Japan“. It was originally constructed in 1687, however, the garden did’nt reach its modern form until 1867, in addition, it was restored in 1952 after suffering severe damages from the World War II bombings in 1945. It’s really a superb garden, with so many highlights, so much variation, not to mention the size of it. I recommend Korakuen Garden to anyone, with just the slightest interest in Japanese gardens and culture. - Enjoy!
