Sayuri Kinoshita was a Japanese freediver. She was the first in her country to hold a world record in freediving, with a dive of 72 meters in the discipline Constant Weight No Fins in 2016. She also set a world record in Free Immersion, where she pulled herself 97 meters down and back up the dive line. She was the 6th woman in the world to reach the 100 meter mark on her own power - with a monofin. She was also the most universally beloved freediver, as she was known for her supportive, kind, and fun nature
