Swimming With Cichlids - Lamprichthys tanganicanus Cape Kachese

One of the most beautiful fish in Lake Tanganyika is a killie fish: Lamprichthys tanganicanus. Found throughout the lake it is always fun to watch them spawn. They are egg scatterers, so no parental care, the plan is to spawn in a crack where the eggs will fall down into and they actually swell up a little and hold themselves in place. They often group spawn together or sometimes you just see two fish. Many fish know about these spawning killies and they hang out around cracks in the rocks hoping some will come by and they eat the eggs that bounce out of the cracks. All of these clips are from just one site, Cape Kachese, Zambia, Lake Tanganyika - #someonehastodoit! #ADventure2018 #saveourcichlids
