His first 15 months with the instrument was spent traversing from New York down to the Patagonian region of Argentina, surviving mostly on the money he made on the streets. At the end of this trip, a video surfaced of Sam improvising with the unique instrument in the subways of New York City, which went on to reach over 28 million people online. From humble origins busking on the streets to documenting the instruments powerful effect on humans, Sam has now collaborated and performed his boundless music all over the world. PanSiam will be his debut appearance at a handpan/pantam gathering.
