Russia “Copies“ Shahed To Make Geran-2, Beats Western Sanctions To Build Drone Army For Ukraine War?

Russia has reportedly started copying attack drones it acquired from Iran for use in the Ukraine war. According to a Conflict Armament Research report, Russia was able to copy the drones despite crippling sanctions on its weapons production. The researchers’ claims are based on inspections of the wreckage of two attack drones that were used in combat in southeastern Ukraine. As per reports, the Russian-made versions of the Shahed-136 are commonly marked as Geran-2 or Geranium-2 in Russian.
