ERUPTION FEAT. KIM DAVIS UK soul/disco group Eruption consisted of Eric Kingsley, Gerry Williams, Greg & Morgan Perrineau and Precious Wilson. Their career started on RCA with the single Let Me Take You Back In Time in 1975 before the opportunity came for them to go to Germany and become Boney M.’s warm-up act on their 1977 tour. Hansa issued the single Party, Party but it was their next single I Can’t Stand The Rain that broke them big, hitting #5 in the UK, #7 in Germany and #18 in the US. One Way Ticket, issued in 1979, was another big hit for them. By then Precious Wilson decided to leave the band and go solo. The band, however, was determined to go on. “A group exists not only through one person,“ Greg Perrineau said.
