Eastbourne, East Sussex. C/U shot of horse’s head in a stable. M/S of a man in police uniform leading the horse out. Policeman gets on the horse. L/S of the policeman riding across the field - lovely landscape. Downs Ranger, PC Harry Ward on his horse Princess Pat carries his normal daily ’traffic’ duties. L/S of the flock of sheep and a shepherd. M/S of a shepherd walking. M/S of PC Harry Ward stopping a car on the country road so sheep can cross it. Driver is standing next to the car, waiting. Another car approaches and stops. After the sheep have crossed the road, PC Ward signals to the drivers that they can continue their journey. C/U shot of the first car moving. M/S of several girls horse riding. They are members of a local riding school. Long frontal shot of Mr Ward riding towards the camera to join the girls. He warns the girls about barbed wire on certain paths and directs them to the safer routes. M/S of PC Ward pointing his finger, directing the girls. Girls ride away. L/S of PC War
