New Titan submersible footage shows imploded wreckage

The U.S. Coast Guard has released new underwater footage of the Titan submersible, revealing the catastrophic failure that occurred during its expedition. Footage captured by a remote-operated vehicle shows the remains of the aft dome, aft ring, remnants of the pressure hull, and extensive carbon fibre debris, offering proof of the implosion that resulted in the deaths of all five passengers on board. The video was publicly issued on Wednesday, September 18. The Titan’s remains were reportedly found around 330 yards from the Titanic’s bow, some 435 miles south of St. John’s, Newfoundland.
