State Visit Of The French President (1939)

Full titles read: “STATE VISIT OF THE FRENCH PRESIDENT“ Aerial shots of the French President’s escort of ships making it’s way across the channel. L/S’s of two Avro Anson’s in flight. L/S’s of President Albert Lebrun walking down the ramp with Madame Lebrun. the President is greeted by numerous uniformed dignitaries. L/S’s of the King George VI (Prince Albert, Duke of York) and Queen Elizabeth (Duchess of York, the Queen Mother) meeting the President of France and his wife as they climb off the train at Victoria Station in London. The King introduces the President to several dignitaries which include Viscount John Gort and the Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain. The President passes through the streets of London in a “glittering cavalcade“ of horse drawn carriages. Large crowds line the streets. The procession makes it’s way up the mall; and passes through the gates of Buckingham Palace. L/S of the crowd rushing forward to get a better view of the President on the balcony waving.
