“Invincible And Legendary“ (Несокрушимая и легендарная), also known as “Song of the Soviet Army“ (Песня о Советской Арми), is a Soviet patriotic song written in 1944 in celebration of the 27th anniversary of the founding of the Red Army and of the Red Army’s recent victories at Leningrad, Stalingrad, Moscow and Kurk against the invading fascist forces. Prior to 1956, the song contained mention of Soviet leader, Joseph Stalin, however when the Khrushchevite revisionists began de-Stalinization in 1956, any mention of the great hero was removed.
