Precious baby orangutan Mabel safe at BORA

Precious baby orangutan Mabel is now safe at our BORA orangutan rescue and rehabilitation centre. She was rescued by the BKSDA East Kalimantan on 10 November after being kept in a tiny bird cage at someone’s house. Mabel needed urgent medical care and has been receiving around the clock care. She is still very tired and traumatised from her ordeal but is eating some fruits and drinking milk. When she is not cuddling with one of her caring babysitters, she has fluffy blankets to rest on. The Orangutan Project funds the entire running costs of the BORA orangutan rescue and rehabilitation centre.
