The first layer (StP Aero) has been applied to the entire vehicle sheet from the inside. This first layer eliminates vibrations from drive rolling and engine for example. The functionality of the second layer (StP Accent and StP Biplast) is absorbing both sound and cold and heat, therefore we have applied StP Accent on the entire floor surface as well as the second layer inside the doors. In the wheel arches we have applied the highest range of StP, the Biplast Diamond Wave 15, which promises to be the most efficient in terms of sound absorption, and the truth that has pleasantly surprised us. We have also used this material in the door panels, thus achieving surprising exterior noise insulation. The third layer is StP NoiseBlock and is only determined on horizontal surfaces or with few degrees of inclination, since it is a material that has a high weight and although the adhesive is very strong, it could reach a peel off on vertical surfaces. This layer is made of asphalt cloth and almost completely blocks the sound from outside. It is important to know that it works together with StP Accent or StP Biplast, since it requires that some of these materials attenuate the external sound and avoid contact with the metal sheet to perform its function. Conclusions Worth it? Flatly yes. The reduction of outside noise is very impressive, and even more so the road noise. According to the measurements, the road noise has been reduced 18dB ( 6dB is double of the sound sense). A practical example; Before having a correct conversation with the copilot circulating at 120 km / h, you need to raise your voice above normal to be able to understand each other, and now in the same conditions you can talk almost whispering.
