It’s an accessible release packed with 2 strong originals and two remixes from MPathy – balancing heavy beats with the kind of shimmering details that give ‘Ethereal Techno’ its name.   With ‘Ancient’, 2Qimic showcase a vivifying bass line accompanied by splashes of eminence through a complexity of synthesized sounds. ‘Backroom’ sheds light on the devastating beauty within darkness. And finally MPathy’s interpretation of “Ancient” is an evocative and emotive never-ending climax. Siren-like synths lead way to an ever-increasing attachment to the rhythms and melodies, in an almost addictive way.
