Mickey Rourke ( born Philip Andre Rourke Jr. on September 16, 1952 in Schenectady, New York, USA)- is an American actor and former professional boxer who had appeared primarily as a leading man in drama, action and thriller films .He was very popular in the 1980s and some of his most notable films were : Body Heat (1981), Diner (1982), Rumble Fish (1983), and 9 1/2 Weeks (1986). He was a rebel at heart and couldn’t stand the rules of Hollywood so he left and became a professional boxer in 1991 . He retired from boxing in 1994. He later came back to acting and did some commercially successful films. For his film The Wrestler (2008), he won the Golden Globe Award and BAFTA Award for Best Actor, and received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor. 8 Days a Week - is a song written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney based on Paul’s original idea.
