The Parable of the Sower! “A farmer went out to plant his seed. As he scattered it across his field, some seed fell on a footpath, where it was stepped on, and the birds ate it.“ Luke 8:5 In Luke 8:4-8, Jesus uses a parable to communicate a powerful message to his listeners. The parable of the Sower tells the story of a farmer who plants seeds in different parts of his field. Some seeds grow and produce fruit, while others do not. The parable’s point is that everyone has a role to play in life and whether they succeed or fail depends on their actions. For example, the seed on the wayside!
