Slovak MEP visits Moscow apologizes for ‘Russophobia’ in the West
Lubos Blaha, a member of PM Robert Fico’s party, traveled to Moscow over the weekend, where he paid tribute to Soviet war heroes.
Blaha laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin wall and at the monument to Soviet Marshal Georgy Zhukov, expressing gratitude for Russia’s liberation of Slovakia from fascism during World War II.
Blaha stated that he came to Moscow as a “friend of Russia“ to apologize for the increasing “Russophobia“ in the West, which he sees as unjustified.
He highlighted the “incredible sacrifices“ made by the Russian people to liberate Slovakia and emphasized his opposition to this growing animosity towards Russia.
