A house for two generations: the example of an Iranian architect

Category: Best Project of Private Residence. The client is a retired couple with their only young son, who have different needs and preferences, due to the gap between the two generations. The client wanted a house that could accommodate both perspectives - from the parents’ point of view, this is a house for peace and quiet, while from the son’s point of view, the building is a villa or party house. The house has a soft and curved shape that contrasts with the strength of the garden. The remarkable achievement in this design is that the house harmonizes with the dominant force of the garden, rather than competing with it. From the outside, the curved form is the focal point for the public, while from the inside, the panoramic view highlights the spaces around the garden, which its owners regard as a piece of paradise!
