The sixth session of 1992’s European Weightlifting Championships; the 82,5kg’s category. The Championships was hold in Szekszárd, Hungary. It was Pyrros Dimas’ first international competition for Greece - you probably never seen before this footage. Ibragim Samadov won this session, polish Krzysztof Siemion became 2nd (with his lighter bodyweight) then Dimas became 3rd. Not so much later he (Pyrros) made one of a kind history in olympic weightlifting. He already had his trademark “watching to the sides“ and of course, his power jerk.
