This Gearbox Knows Its Position At ALL Times

Ever wanted a 3D printed servo motor? Here is a design that is based on a compound planetary gearbox and a brushed DC motor. By using an encoder and a limit switch the position of the output hub can be determined at all times even right after the system is powered on.
