Electrically Charged Bee Falling in to Spider’s Web
A dead bee with a positive electrostatic charge falls into a grounded spider web, drawing the flexible silk toward it before it even hits the web. This attraction could help spider webs capture prey, since most flying insects have a positive electrical charge because of friction with air molecules.
