‘Sad picture’: Douglas Murray says Americans ‘suffering’ amid crime wave

Author Douglas Murray says Americans in Democrat-led cities are “suffering” as high crime rates continue to impact communities. Mr Murray said he believed it was no longer safe to “go out or stay in” across the country. He pointed to the recent fatal stabbing of a man in New York City who was attacked in the street while waiting for the bus with his girlfriend after the pair attended a wedding. “There is a sort of constricting number of circumstances in which Americans are actually safe,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “And this is because of crazy bail laws, crazy left-wing justices and district-attorneys who push this idea that the problem is prison. “And no, the problem is the crime.”
