“More Than a Name on a Wall“ is one of the most moving songs we have ever performed. Jimmy Fortune wrote this song and when we heard it we knew we wanted to share the message with our audience. Both our grandpas served in the military and we grew up with our dad serving over 23 years in the Air Force. We are so grateful for all the men and women that paid the ultimate sacrifice and for their families that continue to honor their memory.

►LYRICS - More Than A Name On A Wall
I saw her from a distance
As she walked up to the wall
In her hand she held some flowers
As her tears began to fall
She took out pen an’ paper
As to trace her memory
She looked up to heaven
An’ the words she said were these
She said, Lord, my boy was special
An’ he meant so much to me
You know I’d love to see him
Just one more time you see
All I have are my memories
An’ the moments to recall
So, Lord, would you tell him
He’s more than a name on a wall
She said, he really missed his family
An’ bein’ home on Christmas Day
But he died for God an’ country
In a place so far away
I remember just a little boy
Playin’ war since he was three
But, Lord, this time I know
He’s not comin’ home to me
She said, Lord, my boy was special
An’ he meant so much to me
You know I’d love to see him
But I know it just can’t be
So I thank you for my memories
An’ the moments to recall
So, Lord, would you tell him
He’s more than a name on a wall
Oh, Lord, would you tell him
He’s more than a name on a wall
