2023 Hard Enduro Heroes Ep. 5: Shotgun Hard Scramble in Sugarloaf, PA

The Hard Enduro Heroes docu-series follows the six-round Premier Championship of the 2023 @IRCTireUSAMoto US Hard Enduro Series, Presented by @KLIMMotorcycle. These six episodes, documented by @skypixelmedia, will tell the stories of the hard enduro athletes that compete on the gnarliest race courses in the United States. The Shotgun Hard Scramble in Sugarloaf, PA was Round 5 of the USHE Premier Championship and Round 4 of the AMA East Hard Enduro Series, Presented by @IRCTireUSAMoto. This relatively new hard enduro race came onto the scene last year, and was unexpectedly one of the toughest races of the season. The High Mountain Dirt Riders and course builder Mike Soudas, built a course that ramped up in difficulty as the course went on. This was the second race of the Keystone Challenge weekend, which followed the day after Tough Like RORR. The Keystone Challenge combines two USHE Premier rounds in three days, creating one of the most challenging weekends of the year. The athletes were plenty tired after RORR, but they had to save their bodies and equipment for this 5 hour, 2 lap hard enduro race. The relentless rocks at this venue created some interesting battles in the Pro Class, but yet again, it was @trystanhart84 who pulled away and won the race. @ryderleblond passed up @codywebb2 for the second spot, and following was Webb, @JonnyWalker, and @willriordan39. Sandra Gomez won the Pro Women’s class, followed by Rachel Gutish and Hallie Marks. The next and final round of the 2023 USHE Premier Championship will be the Silver Kings Hard Enduro in Kellogg, Idaho.
