Caption: Swimming movies of the jellyfish-inspired soft robot, which has the same body and lappet motion kinematics of the biological ephyra jellyfish (the most widely-distributed baby jellyfish). In addition to efficient and fast swimming, this jellyfishbot could realize many functionalities by producing diverse controlled fluidic flows around its body using its magnetic composite elastomer lappets, which are actuated by an external oscillating magnetic field.
