Scherzo is a playful piece of music from the collection of compositions for reed organ, , No.8, written by Arthur Bird.
Arthur Bird was an American composer, but he resided in Germany for many years. He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1856, and died in Germany in 1923. Bird wrote many pieces for reed organ/harmonium, and for those that are familiar with the reed organ world he is especially known for the compositions that were commissioned by Mason & Hamlin.

Played on a Berlin reed (pump) organ that was made in Berlin (now Kitchener) Ontario Canada in 1897.
