WATCH: U.S. opens embassy in Jerusalem

Today, the consular annex in West Jerusalem becomes the interim U.S. embassy in Israel. President Trump recognized the city as Israel’s capital on December 6, 2017. Senior Advisor Jared Kushner, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Ivanka Trump are reportedly set to attend a ceremony marking the move.
