Miss Eden And Her Lost Mum

We sometimes have to make difficult decisions regarding mums and babies that come into care and so it was with Miss Eden and her mother. Although they were rescued together, Eden’s mum was in a very poor condition and she had stopped lactating. Although I support fed Eden for a week whilst she was on her mother, the milk bar never re establish and it really wasn’t fair on anybody to continue. After Eden was taken off her mother, both parties improved dramatically and although it may seem harsh, mum’s life was preserved and she can go on to have another baby in subsequent years.
