Antonio Vivaldi, La Follia, Vivaldi-composer and violinist - was a Catholic priest in Venice, Italy, who has written an enormous work for the violin. This is La Folia - Variations on one Theme: “Folia“. Folia is actually the name of a folk tune, dance traced back to fifteenth-century Portugal, which literally means ’folly’ or ’madness’.
Both parts have been performed and recorded by Roman Petrowsky.
