Cricket Cuts (1930)

Location uncertain. Cuts - Various shots of two unidentified cricket teams playing large match. May be related to story in previous issue regarding the test between England and Australia at Lords. N.B. Any information about who is playing and where would be welcomed. The film is scratched. Some shots appear to have been transferred at the wrong speed. A Pathe viewer has written in with the following information: This is a match between Australia and England. The MCC Touring sweaters that England are wearing indicate that the match took place in Australia. All the footage of play shows Australia batting. The player shown batting without a cap is Donald Bradman. The England wicket-keeper is George Duckworth. The only occasion in which Duckworth played for England against Bradman playing for Australia was on the 1928-29 tour. Given the focus on Bradman’s batting, this is likely to be footage from the 3rd Test [1929] at Melbourne. The first bowler we see bowling right to left looks like Harold Larwood coming
