Sages of Mayapur - Jiv Jago | Mantra Live

Sages of Mayapur is a collaboration of musicians with various backgrounds from different countries. They are united by love to the Supreme and desire to sing His glories. Gopinath Bhadra aka Sage (India) – grew up in Mayapur. Traditional Bengali bhajans and kirtans were his everyday meditation practices. Madhusudan (Portugal) – guitarist and songwriter who grew up with blues and gospel music. He found his way to India, were he continued to glorify the Lord in his poetic self-written songs. Zak (UK) started to play drums as a child and after moving to India in his teens, dived into mixing western style with traditional Indian rhythms. Steve (USA) is a saxophone player who toured the world with famous bands. He played with world jazz stars like Wynton Marsalis, Maynard Ferguson, Clark Terry and Jon Faddis.
