Zoku : Japanese drum by Kodo

Originally from Kodo’s 1998 album Blessing of the Earth, this piece is renowned all over the world and had enormous impact on drummers in many countries, due to the technique employed of laying a large hirado-o-daiko drum on its side and striking it with a stick shaped like a bat. The dynamic rhythm evokes the energy of the earth.
