Chaos in the capital of Mexico! Terrible hailstorm hit Mexico City!

On June 12, much of the Mexican capital was affected by a severe storm with hail and rain. Historic hail has painted Mexico City white and icy rivers have flowed through the streets. There was real chaos on the roads, visibility was very limited. Authorities have activated yellow alerts in 10 districts of Mexico City. Several buildings were damaged by the storm. In particular, as a result of the accumulation of hail, the roof of one of the shopping centers collapsed. The Tlalpan and Iztapalapa regions received about 20 liters of precipitation per square meter. Flooding has been reported in these areas. The civil protection service reported that a 20-meter tree fell, which damaged a car and a power line. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
