Planet Forbidden (Unused Ambience from Duke Nukem Forever)

It’s made up of several segments, both ambient and action alike, that were intended to loop separately from the whole WAV file. What is presented here is the original WAV file in its entirety. The filename is a tribute to the science fiction classic film, “Forbidden Planet,“ and especially to the groundbreaking score created by Bebe and Louis Barron. (I actually received notes from Bebe Barron while creating “Planet Forbidden,“ with information about things like how her husband would build new electronic circuits and burn them out just to get a single sound for the soundtrack.) The filename is also a bit of a joke, reversed in the way that a certain “backwards“ friend sp
