Throwing Folding Knives - Bonus Destruction Test

Throwing a folding knife is incredibly abusive! Shock runs through the knife blade and into the handle and locking mechanism, while the repeated impact and subsequent prying while pulling the knife out of the target causes a great deal of torque on the blade’s tip. By repeatedly throwing our knives with great force against a tough wooden target we create a torturous and grueling test of their locking mechanism and tip strength. Many of our competitor’s knives will hold up to a mere handful of throws before succumbing to lock failure or simply snapping from the shock. We threw these knives hard, with no concern for accuracy or grouping. Missed throws hit flat or butt first, or even worse, they bounced on the concrete and asphalt of our facility parking lot! Quite simply, this test was designed to break knives, and we intended to do our very best to make them fail... This test shows without a doubt why you should choose Cold Steel knives! Remember, don’t try this at home!
