Silêncio Extremo - Symposium of Death [Full Demo - 1993]

Silêncio Extremo (Extreme Silence) were a Portuguese death metal band. Year of formation and disbandment is unknown and the release date of this tape is debatable, but lets trust Metal Archives in this one. Symposium of Death was the only demo (as far as we know) released by the band. What first caught my attention was the cover art, the hand drawn and almost comic book-like style is always something that gets me when scrolling through some demos - and honestly, from experience, it often pays off. Audio quality might not be the best, but music quality is unarguable. Thrashy early 90’s death metal with some melancholic breaks/solos, raspy vocals (almost makes my own throat hurt), solid drumming (even if the bass drum isnt the best there ever was) and overall a great amateurish vibe to it all - and thats a compliment.
