Who Were the Neanderthals and What Happened to Them? | Ancient Architects

You can’t really research ancient human prehistory without acknowledging Homo Neanderthalensis, or the Neanderthals, an extinct species, or subspecies of archaic humans, because they lived alongside us in Eurasia until only around 37,000 years ago. They were only discovered in 1856 and far from being just lumbering, primitive cave dwellers, as they were portrayed in history, they were actually highly intelligent and their brains were, on average, bigger than our own. In this video I give an overview and introduction to Neanderthals, in a brand new format for the Ancient Architects channel. All images are taken from Google Images for educational purposes only.
