Building the Worlds longest piano

A small collection of photos put together documenting the building of the Alexander piano to the music of Bach’s Jesu Joy of Mans Desiring, played by Hyperion Knight. I Asked my piano teacher how long a plain wire would have to be to make the low A note. This led to an experiment in the back yard, from this I was determined to make a piano at this time I was 15. Little did know I would actually start making it a year later. I started building the piano when I was 16 years old after a generous neighbor up the road offered me her one car garage, she liked to see creativity and also gave me some timber! the piano is as long as that shed 5.7 meters, as the months went on interest started to grow until the project gained huge support of the community until completion.
