The internet is more obsessed with the trial between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp than the public conscience has cared about a court case since O.J. Simpson’s legendary celebrity trial. This one has all of the same dark and sinister twists, surprisingly hilarious lawyers and judges and a lush background of an A-list lifestyle. There’s one thing this has that the Simpson trial didn’t have. A private island. Johnny Depp apparently found his own private place to escape the pressures of Hollywood. He discovered it during the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean and it became his haven. He even named beaches after friends and family after building an eco-friendly place there. The island eventually stood as the location for his marriage to Heard. It also apparently stood for the dissolution of the same relationship as several high profile arguments and violent altercations allegedly happened there.
