Restoring Your Very Yellowed Sega Dreamcast - Retro Console Restoration

Today Gamextc will restore the Sega Dreamcast console which was launched in 1999. A customer brought this to us and asked if we could get rid of the yellowing, so we thought why not lets do it. For the disassembly of the Sega Dreamcast we used a Philips head screwdriver, which is all you need for disassembling. To get rid of the yellowing on the parts, we used Truzone Cream Peroxide 12% 40 Volume (link below), we then placed the parts into the zip lock and placed them outside for the sun to work its magic. There are various techniques that others use to get their plastic white i.e. UV lights, but we prefer the natural way. 24 hours in the sun should be enough, but the really yellowed parts of the body may take a bit longer. After this we washed and dried the parts (this is very important). If moisture is left in the shell it will start corroding the parts again. Items needed Philips head Screwdriver https:
