The far-right leaders of Hungary and Poland rejected a symbolic EU statement on irregular migration as a summit of European leaders came to a close. Hungarian PM Viktor Orban and his Polish counterpart Mateusz Morawiecki rejected a proposed statement during the summit’s conclusion on October 6. The Polish PM echoed Orban’s claim, saying Poland definitely rejects this for “the security of our country”.
