This band was formed in 1976 when English musician Mick Jones was stranded in New York City after his band ’Leslie West Band’ collapsed. His manager suggested that he rehearsed a band of his own in a small space Prager had near his office. Jones recruited keyboarder Al Greenwood and later fellow Brits Ian McDonald (ex King Crimson) and drummer Dennis Elliott. He then found singer Lou Gramm as the missing piece of the puzzle whose band had just broke up and bassist Ed Gagliardi from New York completed the first line up.
