Antonio Lopez (1986) - The Videofashion Vault

Meet the iconic fashion illustrator, Antonio Lopez (1943-1987.) Born in Puerto Rico, he grew up in Harlem and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. At 17, he was hired by Women’s Wear Daily, and his work subsequently appeared in The New York Times, and Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Interview magazines. He worked alongside Karl Lagerfeld in Paris in the early 1970s. His illustrations of models, like Jerry Hall, Grace Jones and Jessica Lange, enhanced their careers.
