Mountain Climb And Railway (1920-1929)

Mountain Climb and Railway. Location of events unknown - could be Snowdonia, North Wales. Pathe cameraman filming w/ hand-cranked camera on mountain precipice. 5 men & boys - hiking up mountain path; behind them one can see the ground very far below. Looking up at 3 boys aged about 12-14 & 1 older man; standing on craggy peak; as the man pulls up a rope. Man walks in front w/ rope tied round him; boys follow holding onto it. Wide shot of mountains; w/ the hiking party in distance; heading away across a less steep slope. Shots of clouds and hills. Mountain railway; tracking shot from train going round curves. Another small train ahead; stopped on track. It starts moving & passes on right. Tracking shot looking out over mountains. Next; the hikers again; coming up path holding rope; the last 2 carry the camera equipment. Note on paperwork reads ’Wyard’ - probably cameraman who shot the footage. Scenics; filming.
