Alexei Navalny’s mother visits her son’s grave in Moscow as mourners continue to pay their respects

Lyudmila Navalnaya, the mother of late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny visited her son’s grave on Saturday (March 2), as mourners continued to pay their respects at Moscow’s Borisovskoye Cemetery. Navalny, President Vladimir Putin’s fiercest critic inside Russia, died at the age of 47 in an Arctic penal colony on Feb. 16., sparking accusations from his supporters that he had been murdered. The Kremlin has denied any state involvement in his death. Many thousands of people turned out to pay their respects at the cemetery and outside the Soothe My Sorrows church in southeast Moscow where the funeral took place on Friday (March 1). Dozens of mourners on Saturday (March 2) came to Borisovskoye cemetery in Moscow to pay their respects to opposition politician Alexey Navalny who was buried here on Friday.
