Industrialization of Core Printing (ICP) - Pioneering additive serial production | voxeljet

In close cooperation, Spanish foundry experts Loramendi and voxeljet have developed and implemented the first-ever 3D printing series production line at the BMW Group’s Landshut plant. Known as the Industrialization of Core Printing (ICP), the line enables the fully automated mass production of sand cores used in the casting of cylinder heads for high-efficiency engines. With hundreds of thousands of 3D printed cores printed per year, the ICP line supports the mass production of the latest generation of engines at BMW Group’s Landshut plant. Together, Loramendi and voxeljet are pioneering the Industrialization of Core Printing with this unique and high-performance production line.
