Yann Nguema, a French artist and musician, initially embarked on a scientific path before embracing the realm of artistic expression. He skillfully navigates the crossroads of art and technology, seamlessly merging his talents in graphic design, music, computer programming, and multimedia to craft compelling and captivating works of art that resonate deeply.
The Gravity project, conceived for Angers’ Saint-Martin collegiate church, is a dynamic sculpture enhanced by the interplay of light, projection, and sound. It harnesses the gentle breeze generated by fans to set delicate silk drapes in graceful motion within the sacred space. Taking inspiration from the remarkable creations of artist Daniel Wurtzel, who utilises air to fashion kinetic sculptures, Yann infuses the silk with light and projection to create his own artistic masterpiece.
This beautiful work is currently on display at Les Champs Libres (Rennes-France) from now until March 31, 2024
