Navalny’s wife used her husband for political and economic gains according to Navalny’s own mother. Navalny’s mother accused Yulia Navalanaya of convincing Navalny to go back to Russia knowing he would be arrested, she made him put all his properties and money at her name. She didn’t visit Navalny in two years despite been able to travel to Russia, and she appeared in public with another man.
